We had a report on Scott today. His brain bleeding has been stopped by surgery. He is still sedated and is in ICU and will be there for some time. But things are looking just a bit better. Please keep the prayers coming.

Hello Everyone,

Please pray for my cousin Scott Pitruzzello who is in critical condition after a car accident on 7/30/09.

He has numerous injuries and has a long road ahead for recovery but with the power of prayer, he will be well again.

The Law of Attraction

Hello Everyone. Wishing you all well this morning. Well an interesting situation has occured. Two years ago my eyes were perfect except for some far sightedness and stigmatism. When I went for my normal eye exam suddenly there were problems. My eye pressure was very high and it was determined that I had a narrow angle problem which was preventing my eye fluid to drain properly thus causing the high pressure. This can be dangerous since a spike in the pressure can cause permanent sight loss. The doctor did a laser procedure where one tiny hole was made in each eye allowing the fluid to drain. Instantly the pressure went down and I was relieved. After waiting for 30 minutes, the pressure was rechecked and it was up to the same high levels. I was leaving for the family reunion the next day and was given steroid eye drops and told to come back in 3 weeks. I forgot about it all and had a great time at the reunion.

I had my check up visit two days ago and the pressure was still up. After examination, the doctor told me that my eye drains were not working properly and I would have to use eye drops for the rest of my life. The drops are beta blockers which is blood pressure medication and he said that if I put pressure into the corner of each eye after putting in the drops, I could  most likely prevent it from getting into my system.

This may not sound too bad in the grand scheme of things but I have gone totally holistic in the last three years and the last thing I ever wanted to do was to take medication for a lifetime. Very upsetting.

So why am I talking about this. Because if I am to practice what I preach, now is the time for positive thinking and using the Law of Attraction. All things are possible including getting off of this medication at some point. It brought home something to me that I would like to share. For the first couple of days, I could not think positive. I realized then that it was important to tell everyone to allow themselves some time after they hear bad news or have a bad experience to absorb it and basically get over the shock. After that time period, the rules of the Law of Attraction can be applied successfully. Many of you may already know that, but some people might be beating themselves up because they are unable to be positive right after an upsetting time.

I will also be using the "Emotional Freedom Technique" which I will be talking about at a later date for this problem.

So thanks for listening and I hope that it has been a help to you in some way.

Love and Blessings

Family Reunion 2009

Good Morning,

Well the family reunion in Savannah, Georgia has come and gone. A wild and willy one this year. It started when the hotel didn't have the right room for my parents. That should have been a clue as to what was to come.

My mom has trouble walking and the room they did give them was quite a long walk from the Lobby. Dad rented a wheel chair and that was a big help. We were lost trying to find the pharmacy, even with a GPS which was also acting crazy for the whole trip. We were talking to "Her" as if she were a live person.

Then mom had two episodes of sleep walking, which we have found is a side effect of sleep medication, and was found twice by family members on two nights. First wandering around the halls in the middle of the night and then casually watching TV in the lobby at 1 am. Dad slept through both episodes. The days after she didn't remember a thing, even though she had had conversations while whe was asleep.

After that we had a major fiasco with a River Boat ride which I had been assured would be perfectly fine for a disabled person was definitely was NOT FINE. It was a nightmare to put it mildly and it was 99 degrees that day. The actual boat ride and buffet lunch was very nice and my parents enjoyed it when we were finally able to get onto the boat.

On the way home, my cousin noticed that the needle on the car dash was all the way up to hot, and on our 99 degree day, we had to ride home with the windows open and the heat blasting for 20 minutes to get the heat out of the engine. Needless to say, when we arrived at the hotel, we looked as if we had stuck our fingers into an electrical socket.

After running to the room and putting my face into the air conditioner for 30 minutes, I finally cooled off and made my self presentable.

In the meantime, my wonderful cousins tried to determine what was wrong with the car. They finally came to the conclusion that I had a bad thermostat. This was Saturday with no chance of getting a mechanic so we resigned ourselves to having to stay by ourselves until Monday with no car. The prospect was not pleasant. The cousins wouldn't hear of it and said they would change the thermostat which wasn't that hard to do. So on Sunday morning, they went to the parts store, picked one up and started to work. Two hours later, they were still trying to get the last bolt off the old thermostat and it didn't look good. Then as we were discussing our dilemma in the lobby and woman sitting there said her husband always carried tools on their trips and she would send him over. And behold, he had the perfect wrench which loosened the bolt. After that, it was a breeze for the boys to finish the job. Now my friends, that is called DIVINE INTERVENTION. I used my Law of Attraction to affirm that we would be leaving on Sunday with the rest of the family.

Two of our cousins, who live close by, followed us for two hours of the trip home, just to make sure all was well. I really do have a fabulous family.

Now for the good stuff. I loved seeing the family. Saw some that I hadn't seen in many years and met our brand new cousin  Francesca who we just found  and who came all the way from Montreal to be with us.  We had a great time laughing and talking. The food was wonderful including our family dinner at Cheddars restaurant and our BarBeQue on Saturday night. Have Tarot cards will travel and that was a good thing since I had lots of requests for readings. It isn't work to me. It is a labor of love. And as I mentioned earlier, everything that happened while on this trip just confirmed to me how very blessed I am to have such a loving and caring family. We live in a number of different states and cannot all see each other often, but when the chips are down, they are there to lend a hand without complaint. All of them had planned to leave earlier in the day, and never showed a sign that they had been inconvenienced in any way.

To my awesome family......."I LOVE YOU ALL"

Show a Little Kindness

As we go through our day, we come across many people. We can be shopping for groceries, making a deposit at the bank, going to the post office, speaking on the phone to  a company representative or any number of things we do as part of our daily lives.

What most of us never think of is that the person we are interacting with is just like us. He or she is probably dealing with a variety of problems and issues that are part  of life and some may be very serious.

So when we show kindness to someone, we may have no idea how much we may be helping to lift their spirits and giving them a moment of just feeling good.

And the best part about Kindness is that it is free. It takes nothing from us and actually enhances our lives. Kindness is like a boomerang. It will always come back to us. At the moment we give the kindness, we feel a good feeling. And of course we have just made some very good Karma.

So it is a good idea to be aware as you go about your day, that your small acts of kindness have a most positive effect on the planet.

Proverbs 23 Verse 7 "For as he thinketh in his heart, so he is."

Your thoughts are things. They create and manifest. They are powerful. The words of your mouth also have this power. So remember to think positive thoughts today and every day and to speak postive words today and every day. When the negative comes, which it always will; do not allow it to linger.

What have you done today to attract good things into your life?.....are you paying attention or letting your mind run wildly and without control? Your thoughts and words will create whether you pay attention or not, so why not have a say in your future?

Every day we turn on the news or read the newspaper and are bombarded with bad news and more bad news. Although I do not advocate completely hiding our heads in the sand, we CAN focus on the positive in our lives and count our blessings. For most of us, those blessings are many. How much more pleasant to dwell on the good that God has given us, than to spend our days thinking of all that is wrong in our lives and in the world.

The more grateful we are, the more blessings will flow into our lives. So I will take a few minutes today to list just a few of my blessings. It is not a complete list but a good start.

I am blessed wth:

Two eyes to see

Two ears to hear

Two legs and feet to walk

Two arms and hands to work

A voice to speak and sing

A mind to think and reason

A heart to love

A home that is my refuge and place of peace

A car for transportation

Food on the table

Loving family

Good friends

A wonderful man that I love and who loves me

Meaningful work

The ability to help others

Please join me and leave your message of gratitude for us to share.

Love and light,

Rev. Lynn
